Meet Louise
Yoga Teacher, Wellbeing Guide & Celebrant

I’m Louise — yoga teacher, celebrant, mountain leader, strategist, and founder of Tursa.
I’ve spent years moving between the corporate world, humanitarian work and the wild outdoors — digital projects by day, teaching yoga at night and climbing mountains or frozen ice at weekends.
Yoga has been my anchor for over 25 years, helping me stay strong, focused, and open-hearted through stress, burnout, deep grief and personal growth.
My practices support adventure, resilience and joy — and I share them to help others feel more free in their bodies, more at peace in their minds, and more connected to the world around them.
I believe we need more movement, more ritual, and more connection — to better ourselves, each other, and the planet.
My Expertise
From burnout to balance
With all our experiences, from one hour sessions to full day immersions and retreats – you’re guided by someone who’s been through it. Not just trained in it. This is real, grounded and human.
Our courses will help you find more balance and joy in your lives through tried and tested tools and techniques. Practices that make you feel good and easy to fit into a busy routine.
500 Hour Yoga Instructor
I took my first yoga teacher training in the Sacred Valley Peru, whilst studying the Shamanic medicine wheel. And more recently graduated from the Janet Stone Yoga program. Passionate about mindful practices. I have completed various courses in mindfulness and meditation practices.
Emerging Celebrant
Confident holding space for people celebrating their union. I can guide you through a beautiful celebration of your love; grounded in nature and your connection to each other. Helping you to breathe, relax and be fully present for all the joy and love on your special day.
Human-focused Consultant
I’m passionate about our connections and spent most of my corporate work – asking people how they feel and hearing their stories. I’m humbled to have travelled to some interesting places and heard some difficult and incredible histories – that taught me much about resilience, kindness and love.
UK Mountain Leader
I am a qualified UK summer mountain leader and have worked in the outdoors leading groups up hills, teaching navigation and mountain safety skills; as well as being a keen mountaineer and rock and ice climber.
Workshop & Retreat Leader
I create engaging workshops that inspire growth and self-discovery – both individual and for corporate teams. From rock climbing and yoga in the French alps to team movement workshops at company events.
What’s tursa skye about?
Using ancient practices to bring joy and a deeper connection to nature, ourselves and each other.

Let’s move, breathe and explore life fully! Bringing you space, joy and fresh energy through movement, immersions in nature and mindful practices.

What does Tursa mean?
Tursa means standing stone in Gaelic. There’s a pair in our village on Skye.
They’ve been here for centuries, standing firm, weathering storms and watching the stars.
A strong reminder of ancient wisdom and our connection to the land.
