Arrival & wedding timings
Please aim to be here for 1:30pm on Monday 26th – the ceremony will start at 2pm. We’re also planning a get together on Sunday 25th (see below).
Getting here & parking
We’re located just off the main road at Kensaleyre – part way between Portree and Uig, our house is opposite the big white church. We’re hoping you’ll be able to park in the church car park on the day and we will post details here nearer the day.
Staying nearby
There are some accommodation options in our village – if you’d like to be within walking distance. If you’d like a bit more on the doorstep, then Portree is the place to be where you can walk to shops, pubs and restaurants. Skye accommodation books up quickly so don’t leave this too late.
Food & drink
We will provide food and drink on the day, it’ll be garden party plates rather than a formal sit down meal. Bring your own bottle. If you’re local, you’re welcome to bring a dish.
What to wear & weather
Skye is notorious for changeable weather – quite often we see all seasons in a single day. So do bring warm and dry layers with you. We’re hoping to mostly be in the garden although we will try to weather proof it where possible. There’s no dress code, wear whatever you feel happy and comfortable in.
Gifts
The greatest gift you can ever give someone is your time and you’re already doing that. And we’re asking quite a few of you to come a long way too so please no gifts.
Extra activities
On Sunday 25th October we’re hoping to have a pre-wedding dook, coffee, cake and sea sauna experience. So if you’re free we’d love to see you there. We will post more about this nearer the day.
